- Basic prints and applications
- Fashion Terminology
- Elements of Art & principle of design
- Costume rendering of different fabrics.
Module 2: Garment construction
- Introduction to pattern making, terminology, tools and equipment’s
- Introduction to sewing machines, types and their parts–functions
- Introduction to measurement and its importance
- Fabric preparation for garment construction, principles of layout
- Drafting of basic bodice, skirts and sleeve
- Introduction to sewing techniques likes seams, tucks, pleats, gathers and fasteners
Module 3: Pattern Making
- Pattern making and construction of Skirts- 2 types.
- Pattern making and construction of A-line and umbrella frock
- Pattern making and construction of Salwar (semi Patiala), Chuddidhar/ push back.
- Pattern making and construction of Kurthi with and without lining. (assignment of 1 Kurthi with different neckline and sleeves)
- Pattern making and construction of blouses – Plain blouse, princess cut blouse
- Different types of Necklines, Collars, Sleeves, Pockets, Placket, Finishes
- Pattern making and construction of Gown.
